Scope and Contents
Summary: Contains three types of material: Scrapbooks, Work Documents Scrapbooks, and Collected Material Scrapbooks. Photograph scrapbooks contain 3.5x5 inch and 4x6 inch photographs which document Schapiro's life, family, friends, and important events. Work Documents Scrapbooks were compiled to highlight the development of Paul Brach and Miriam Schapiro's early and mid careers. Collected Material Scrapbooks contain one purchased Victorian Scrapbook and seven compiled scrapbooks of source imagery and materials, including a handkerchief.

Arrangement
Arrangement: Where applicable, the albums were arranged chronologically. The Collected Material Scrapbooks are undated and therefore retain the original order.
General
Appraisal and Discard Information: Most of the scrapbooks were removed from their original housings because of conservation and preservation concerns. The albums and scrapbooks were rehoused in appropriate archival sleeves. Original order was kept. Several of the scrapbooks and albums have been digitized.
