Scope and Contents: Lubell 7/10: 271a-d Woodblock prints. Four reproductions of an image of Punch, standing aloft, and triumphant over the Skeleton, who himself sits atop a group of discarded puppets, wearing a wreath and beating a drum. Scope and Contents: Lubell 7/11: 274 A colored woodblock showing Punch and Judy facing and maybe confronting each other. Punch's stomach is massive and Judy's legs appear to be so twisted that they have broken off. The barest outline and details of a puppet hanging in the background can also be seen. This is a color variation of Lubell 275 and is described separately because of the difference in visible detail between the two pieces. See woodblock titled [Fun and...

Scope and Contents: Lubell 7/11: 275 Fun and Games is a large woodblock image of Punch and Judy facing each other. The excessive facial detail and caricatures give the moment a threatening, disturbing feel (the characters' eyes bulge, their brows furrow, and Punch's clawed hands are barely obfuscated by their position), as does the hanged puppet in the background of the room. The lack of color beyond the small and few areas not inked in makes the piece very ominous....

Scope and Contents: Lubell 7/12: 276a-f Six woodblock prints of the same scene: a depiction of only a part of a large, sprawling tree. The bottom and top borders cut off most of its trunk and part of its canopy, respectively. Instead of a series of dot and line patterns, depth and detail are made through a diverse number of sizes for small geometric figures representing the openings between the leaves. The tree itself is very elaborate, with significant curvature and undulation of its branches....
