Lubell 7/9: 270a-i
Nine woodblock prints of a Punch figure flanked by two others, one a woman with a black hood and umbrella (Judy?), and the other the Skeleton with wild plant-like hair. Lubell 270a was printed in color, with additional colored brushwork and whiteout covering undesired lines. “K020” is written in the upper left corner. Lubell 270b-h are all in black and white, signed W. Lubell. Lubell 270i is titled, signed Winifred Lubell and designated A/P (artist’s proof). See woodblock [The Guide] (Lubell 444, Box 25).
Sizes vary, but fall within the general range of 31 x 26 cm.
Lubell 270i is matted, with the mat size 35 x 27.9 cm
