Scope and Contents: The John Hozack collection of audio recordings contains 7,071 compact discs featuring jazz concerts and broadcasts John Hozack downloaded from the Dime-A-Dozen website from 1995 through 2022. The discs primarily contain unreleased recordings made predominantly in the 1950s through the 1990s from television and radio broadcasts, soundboard recordings, and those made by audience members. This collection contains printed music scores for dance orchestras. The bulk of the scores are arrangements of songs from musical theater and marketed for ballroom dancing, typically foxtrot or waltz. There is one box of Steiner's personal papers and includes jazz programs, newspaper clippings, flyers, and personal notes.

The John Szwed collection of audio interviews and research files on Sun Ra for Space is the Place contains correspondence, press clippings, periodicals, transcribed interviews, and ninety cassette tapes. The bulk of the collection contains research related to the life and music of Sun Ra, with additional writings related to music and mysticism. The tapes contain interviews by Szwed and others (1971-1993).

This collection contains band books, several photographs, newspapers, correspondence, business contracts, and documents. There are personal financial papers along with a drivers license, ASCAP card, business cards, a hat, and other memorabilia. Also included are ten reel-to-reel tapes, six audio cassettes, and two film reels.

The Judy Bell collection of scores by Johnny Warrington and Larry Clinton contains the scores for three tunes. These arrangements include "Anna" and "Always, Always" by Clinton and "Music, Music, Music" by Warrington. The collection contains full scores of both arrangements for a sixteen-piece band. Also included are copied manuscripts of individual parts.

The collection comprises business papers and correspondence related to Ashen's career at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). There is correspondence with George Avakian, John Hammond, Carl Van Vechten, and Mary Lou Williams among others.
