Kenneth Ashen papers

The collection comprises business papers and correspondence related to Ashen's career at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). There is correspondence with George Avakian, John Hammond, Carl Van Vechten, and Mary Lou Williams among others. The collection also contains scripts for Jazz Scene and World of Jazz radio broadcasts. There are typescript drafts of articles and a scrapbook of newspaper clippings.
