Abstract:

Papers, among which are correspondence, research notes, and writings. Also family papers. The writings include Kite's autobiography, a monograph entitled "Silas Deane, a Neglected Connecticut Patriot," and materials concerning 1) the Jackson Whites of northern New Jersey, 2) the feeble-minded, and 3) residents of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Included among the Kite family papers in the collection is an autobiography written by Benjamin Kite (1754-1838).

Abstract:

A longtime resident of New Brunswick, N.J., Elizabeth Wyckoff Durham was a member of the first class to attend the New Jersey College for Women in Rutgers University, graduating in 1922. She devoted the remainder of her professional life serving the alumni of Rutgers, including a long tenure as editor of the Rutgers Alumni Monthly. Her papers span the years 1867 to 2003 and document her life as well as that of her family.

Abstract:

The Ella Fitzgerald music, papers, audio recordings, and artifacts collection is primarily comprised of more than 1,000 song titles of printed sheet music that the singer either recorded, performed, or read during the course of her career. Jazz is the genre most documented, but significant amounts of popular music from the 1940s through the 1980s are also present.
