Scope and Contents
The collection contains sound recordings of interviews conducted by the authors, Wayne Enstice, Paul Rubin, and Janis Stockhouse, for the development of the books Jazzwomen: Conversations With Twenty-One Musicians (Enstice and Stockhouse, 2004), and Jazz Spoken Here (Enstice and Rubin, 1994). The collection also features recordings from the radio show "Just Jazz" from KUAT-FM, Tucson, AZ. The recordings are in cassette, reel-to-reel tape, or CD.

Arrangement
The collection is arranged in two series: 1. Interview sound recordings, and 2. Interview transcripts and photographs. Individual interviews in series 1 are arranged alphabetically by last name of interviewee, with the radio show recordings located at the end of the series.
