Hindu eight-armed goddess [Sarasvati] riding on a bird (Garuda?), and holding a trident, a shell, a lotus flower and a tambourine. Colors: predominantly yellows and black. Lubell 442

One inch thick cut butcher block. Women wearing tiered [Cretan? Sumerian?] skirts and necklaces or scarves. One seated under a tree, holding flowers, the others standing before her offering flowers. “Maple” written in pen on the lower edge. Colors: green, blue, red and yellow.
