David Bryce and Sons of Glasgow published many tiny volumes in Great Britain and were sold in the U.S. under the imprint of Frederick A. Stokes, New York. These works focused on British literature and included a 40 volume set of Shakespeare's works. Bradbury, Robert C. Twentieth Century United States Miniature Books. No. Clarendon, VT: The Microbiliophile, 2000, page viii) Although this publisher is mentioned in the forward to the Bradbury work, it is a much earlier publisher than the miniature book fine press movement that is the bulk of the Miniature Fine Press and Artists’ Books. Therefore David Bryce books are included with Early Miniatures.
