George Washington Coakley was a prominent Rutgers College Alumnus and Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy at the University of City of New York (now referred as, New York University) who conducted notable research on Astro-Physics, particularly on the origin of meteorites and the movements of the solar system.
Dr. Henry C. Herge was appointed Dean of the Graduate School of Education after a long and distinguished career in education, education administration as well as service in the U.S. Navy. He served as Dean from 1953 until 1965 and continued as a faculty member at Rutgers in the Graduate School of Education and the Latin American Institute until his retirement in 1975.

Dr. Irving Kull was a professor at Rutgers University in the History Department from 1918 until his retirement in 1954. Boxes 7, 8 and 9 of his papers include correspondence regarding the Department of History, departmental budgets, grade books and student lists, an unpublished manuscript on "New Jersey and the Constitution," and various photos of buildings and other architectural items.
