This collection represents blues singer Victoria Spivey with song lyrics and photographs of her alongs side various artists, family, and friends. Also included are other collected writings, correspondence, and some business and personal papers.
The collection is mostly comprised of correspondence concerning the funding and construction of the monument. Also included are project invoices, blueprints, class accounts, press releases for the memorial's inauguration and unveiling, as well as newspaper clippings.
This collection contains Mary Lou Williams memorabilia from the late 1970's including a programs, postcards, flyers, and a poster mainly from performances in New Jersey. There is also a letter and note addressed to Vince.
The 2.1 cubic feet of documents comprising the papers of Walter E. Weyl date from 1894 to 1919, although a small quantity of family and other items included with the papers dates as early as 1862 and as late as 1956. The bulk of the collection actually falls within a nine year period, 1911 to 1919, and consists of diaries, note cards, clippings, correspondence relating to writings and notebooks.
Warren I. Susman was a professor of History at Rutgers University from 1960 until his death in 1985. This collection of papers comprises materials from his undergraduate and graduate studies, academic and publishing pursuits, and other scholarly and political activities before, during, and after his tenure at Rutgers.
