Proceedings of a convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the state of New Jersey, 1793; reports from the parishes and election certificates for deputies to the convention; some testimonial staements, a few committee minutes, three addresses; several items associated with REv. John Croes and his father Bishop John Croes, including a letter of 1805.
Collection of documents, consisting chiefly of early deeds, relating to Elizabeth and present-day Union County, N.J., containing approximately 600 items, a few of which pertain to prominent individuals. Included with the material is a prospectus for a publication to be entitled "Archives of Union County."
A union official who helped found the National Negro Labor Council, Ernest Thompson (1907-1971) was also a community activist who helped bring about political and economic gains for African Americans in Orange, New Jersey, and nearby communities.
The records of the Essex County Medical Society date from 1816 to 1997, but consist mainly of documents from 1816 to 1970. One document is dated 2005. The collection totals approximately 3 linear feet. They form Manuscript Collection 42 in the New Jersey Medical History Manuscript Collections. The records are open for research without restrictions under the conditions of the Archives' access policy.
The Eugene Bradford papers consist of 5 manuscript boxes of correspondence between Eugene Bradford and his wife, Nancy Louise (Harman) Bradford between 1934 and 1946. Many of the letters were written by Eugene to Nancy while he was enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II.
Dr. Eugene E. Agger studied economics at the University of Cincinatti and Columbia University. He taught economics at Columbia before becoming a professor of economics and head of the Economics department at Rutgers University from 1926-1950. Dr. Agger held many prominent positions in the economics and banking communities and authored several books on those subjects.
The collection is comprised of letters and photographs about or concerning Eva Ellis and her family. Eva Ellis was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ellis, in November, 1873 in New Jersey. They lived on Tanglewood Farm outside of the town of Paterson.
