This collection contains the administrative papers of the women's art gallery, Center/Gallery. The folders contain the newsletters, calendars, meeting minutes, bylaws, budgets, and grant seeking applications of the organization. A significant portion of the collection contains newspaper clippings, flyers, and advertisements for the various exhibits, workshops, and sales held there. A limited amount of photographs are available for specific events.
The collection is comprised of oral history interviews conducted by students of the feminist historian Gloria Orenstein between 2006 and 2012. Of special interest are additional materials provided by the interviewee Anne Gauldin, documenting the feminist performance groups The Waitresses and Sisters of Survival which were active in the 1970s and 1980s.
The New Jersey Regional Zine Collection is composed of various zines, buttons, and stickers made by New Jerseyans and individuals in the tristate area from 2011-present. The collection attempts to document the resurgence and content of alternative media in Do-It-Yourself communities, minority communities, artistic communities, and feminist communities. The collection continues to grow through donations and purchases.
The Records of the Women's Project of New Jersey document the work undertaken by the Women's Project of New Jersey to produce Past and Promise: Lives of New Jersey Women. The papers also provide details of the Project's other endeavors to promote understanding of the roles of women in the history of New Jersey. The records consist of documents, photographs, audiovisual materials, and an artifact.
