Abstract:

This collection contains materials about William H. Martin, Dean of the College of Agriculture at Rutgers University from 1939 until his retirement in 1960. The bulk of this collection's records cover the years from 1945 to 1960. The materials include photographs, press releases, newspaper clippings, speeches, and ephemeral matter produced on special occasions. The collection is organized into two series: Series I, Photographic Files, and Series II, Subject Files.

This collection primarily consists of examples of the artistic output, prints, drawings and watercolors, of artist and book illustrator Winifred Milius Lubell. Also included are sketchbooks, woodblocks for many of the prints, draft illustrations for her book Metamorphosis of Baubo and research studies for her project on marginalia in medieval books.
