This scrapbook includes photographs of Count Basie and the Count Basie Orchestra, other musicians, and members of the Basie family; clippings related to Count Basie and his performances; and photographs, correspondence, and ephemera related to Catherine Basie and her charitable work.
Conditions Governing Access
Scrapbooks are closed for use, but digital access copies of all scrapbooks are available on site at the Institute of Jazz Studies, with the exception of the “Dad and Ma” scrapbook, which has not yet been digitized. Please contact the Institute for more information.
