Count Basie Orchestra score library, 1960-2004

Series 1 contains a compilation of the Count Basie Orchestra music library and includes full scores, conductor’s scores, and parts. This series is comprised of an array of holographs, manuscripts, computer printouts, published, and professionally copied scores and parts. Series 1 also features works from notable arrangers and composers Frank Foster, George Lewis, Sammy Nestico, Chico O’Farrill and Bob Ojeda, among others. Evidence of copyist work by significant musicians associated with the CBO can be found, including Maurice Spears and band members Charles Fowlkes and Al Grey.
