Scope and Contents

Bud Powell (piano) Jean-Marie Ingrand (bass), and Kenny Clarke (drums) perform "I Want to Be Happy," live at Blue Note in the early 1960s. At 4:10, there is a clip of Powell performing "Anthropology" with Kenny Clarke, Lucky Thompson (tenor saxophone), Jimmy Gourley (guitar), and Pierre Michelot (bass) at the Blue Note. At 7:22, there is black and white footage of Powell on vacation in Edenville, a resort town in Normandy, France. This footage includes still shots of photographs at the beach. The soundtrack to vacation footage is Bud Powell playing on solo piano "Dusk in Sandi."
