Scope and Contents
Materials in this series date from circa 1960s. The series includes home movies of Powell at Paudras’s apartment, the sanitarium, backstage, on vacation, with family and friends, and at the airport with Thelonious Monk. The series also includes a few brief audio recordings of Bud Powell, likely performing at Paudras’s apartment, as well as footage of Powell’s 1966 funeral procession in New York. Many films in this series are without sound. This series is organized alphabetically by title.
