Two letters (both dated April 17, 1995) from McCabe to Dr. G. Kurt Piehler describing the materials he intends to donate to the University Archives via the Rutgers Oral History Archives.

Seven photocopied documents dating from December 22, 1945, to June 4, 1946. Includes information on: duties and procedures of the Checker Section; organization and employees of the Checker Section; orders and statements regarding guard duty, including a report on the theft of US Army .45 pistols by a Filipino dock worker.

Two photocopied memos, dated February 1 and 11, 1946, and an original copy of the US Army's contract with the Luzon Stevedoring Company, Inc.; the memos discuss the union called strike (2/1) and the renegotiated contract (2/11).

Six photocopies of statements signed by McCabe, verifying ships' cargo.

Three original reports, dated January 30, March 12 and April 9, 1946, on pilfering from the Port of Manila shipping facilities. The January 30th report covers the theft of clothing by civilian Filipino checkers; the other two detail two separate incidents of African-American soldiers stealing sugar to sell on the black market. Personal statements and punishment summaries are included.
