Various letters thanking Woodward for sending copies of President Clothier's 1941 Baccalaureate address "This South Wind Blowing Softly." A letter dated June 22, 1941, from a man whose son was flunked by Rutgers is included, since he also received a copy of the address and was not too pleased by receiving it. All others praised the address.
Correspondence between Woodward and Senator Warren Barbour, spanning the years 1935-1940. While mainly focused on the effects of legislation on Rutgers, it appears that Woodward and Barbour developed a personal relationship. Letter from October 1941 indicates that Rutgers continued its relationship with the Senator after Woodward's departure.
