Contains general correspondence, also several documents relating to the forced resignation of Rutgers University Press director William Sloane, interim editorial problems and actions and the Ad Interim Press Publishing Proposals, Memorandum and Ballot. The "Operating Figures for 1970-1971," a document detailing the role of the press council and an Inventory Analysis (October 8, 1971) were included. Rutgers' Publishing in the Interests of the State of New Jersey and the agenda for the Press Council Meetings for April 22, June 15 and October 18, 1971 complete the file.
