Scope and Contents

(Diary 39. Orange-red hardcover.) Burks begins traveling again, for the first time after Jane's death but comments, "I became reconciled but far from adjusted." Choosing Nova Scotia as his destination, Burks had hoped to relive some shining memories the couple had one year prior. As usual he writes extensively of the history of Halifax and busied himself with details of the maritime lifestyle.
