Documents regarding the sale of Bow Hill to the Hamilton Township Historical Society, consisting mostly of letters exchanged between Netter, Helen A. West (president of the historical society), and Reynier J. Wortendyke (attorney for the Barricklo/Fouche family).
Correspondence regarding a collection of rare books and other material being sold by the widow of Henry Bunn. It included a bound volume of the Jersey Chronicle published by Philip Freneau in 1795–1796, which is now at the Library of Congress.
Connor was an antiques dealer who ran a shop called The Olde Curiosity Shop in Plainfield. He handled antiques, autographs, books, and prints. The business relationship between Connor and Netter came to an acrimonious end in 1943 over a group of Parker family papers, now at Rutgers.
Known to Netter as Aunt Bird, Crosby sold to her the large and important painting of Molly Pitcher being presented to George Washington after the Battle of Monmouth by Dennis Malone Carter. Netter in turn sold the painting to Mrs. J. Amory Haskell, who then donated it to the Monmouth County Historical Association, where it resides today.
