In NY is a feminist paper split over the issue of publishing a 24 page paper on Marxist aesthetics mostly by men. Irene Peslikis and Marjorie Kramer, members of the staff were illegally holding the material. Lucien Nemser was brought in by Cindy Nemser to retrieve the work and the letter dated March 31, 1972 was for those with manuscripts being held to allow legal action to be taken.
