Asking why there is not 50/50 male/female representation in the Whitney annual. They respond to the two one woman shows the Whitney had that year asking how many one man shows there were that year. They ask on what basis were the selections made: 1) studio visits? 2) slides? 3) solicitied or unsolicited? 4) previous knowledge of the artist's work? 5) how do curators work? do they have veto power?
