Abstract

The New Jersey Sheet Music Collection consists of sheet music related to New Jersey, published in the state, and/or written by a New Jersey resident.

Arrangement Note

Boxes 1-4 are arranged chronologically. Box 5 contains undated sheet music. Box 6 contains sheet music related to Princeton University, arranged chronologically. Boxes 7 and 8 contain sheet music published in New Jersey or written by a New Jersey resident, arranged chronologically.

An additional collection of over 5,000 sheet music titles, largely from the nineteenth century, is held by Special Collections. Many of these titles are not related to New Jersey. A preliminary guide to this collection is available at the reference desk or via consultation with a staff member. These materials must be requested at least two working days in advance.
