Scope and Contents
This subseries includes material on shows and exhibitions held by NAWA that are considered to be special designation. They are grouped together by events, commemorative months and years, and anniversaries that were observed by NAWA. Most of these groupings are single-year events, with the Women's History Month events being the exception, as they were held to commemorate Women's History Months over a variety of years.
The Special Designation commemorate the following events:

- NAWA's 75th Anniversary Year in 1965
- The International Women's Year in 1975
- The Bicentennial of the United States in 1976
- NAWA's Centennial Celebration Year in 1989

- NAWA's 125th Anniversary Year in 2014
- Women's History Month Celebrations from 1987-2001
