Scope and Contents
Summary: This series consists of six subseries.
Accounts (1831-1832) comprise one folder of Williams accounts with others.
Horse Book (1840) comprise one folder. For horse Pizaro. Records the mating of Pizaro with other people's horses. There are twenty entries.
Promissory Notes Owed By (1831-1842) comprise one folder. These are notes that William owed to other people. Some of these are to family members such as Denise and Joseph Thompson. They include the date, amount of money, and period of repayment.
Promissory Notes Owed To (1833-1842) comprised of one folder. These are made up of notes that William held against others.
Receipts (1829-1842) comprise three folders. Arranged chronologically. Many of these receipts are for farm implements such as horse shoes, and harness. There are also receipts for his children's tuition and farm taxes. There are some receipts that were paid on behalf of others such as his sister Catherine, Edward Story, John Woodhull and others.
Wallet (circa 1823) comprise one folder. William's wallet. This contains a few calculations and notations at the back and front about money paid out but otherwise the pages are empty.
