Marginalia: Video,, (2009-2014)

Two short videos on one disc, in DVD digital video disc format, showing Winifred Lubell showing and commenting on drawings from her Marginalia project. In the first, numbered 843 and running under two minutes, the artist shows three of her drawings: one of Arab and Christian musicians, another of a man falling from the privy and the last of a seated woman cooking. In the second, numbered 844 and running under three minutes, she discusses two images from the file Marginalia: Women. She discusses how she worked from two slightly different images of women riding in a wagon to create a combined image, as well as how she plans to improve it. The folder includes the letter accompanying the DVD, written from Stephen Lubell, the artist’s son, to Michael Joseph of Rutgers.
