A Greek Alleluyah,, (1995)

Photocopies of [linocut?] prints of a winged woman playing a harp. One of the images (373a) is a photocopy of photograph of the Greek vase, titled Lekythos by the Pan Painter, Nike. This has the original design used in the pen and ink drawing and woodblock print. Two (373c-d) are photocopies of the print (373b) and are designed like greeting cards. Print 373e appears to be an enlarged print of the same image and has writing on the back that reads: “a Greek Alleluyah! C. 450 BCE for 1995.” Information from the artist’s family that accompanied the collection indicates that this image was used as a New Year’s card for 1995.
