Lubell 8/13: 299a-h
Woodcut print. Hindu six-armed goddess with 5 heads (Sarasvati) riding on a bird (Garuda), and holding a trident, a shell, a lotus flower and a tambourine. Colors are predominantly yellows, white, and black, though 299a&h have no yellow. Prints 299a-g are untitled and all labelled “Proof,” with three variants on Proof 1, and two each of Proof 2 and 3. Print 299h is titled and signed Winifred Milius Lubell.
299a-g – Sizes range from 18.3 x 18.7 cm to 25.4 x 22 cm
299h – 29.9 x 18.8 cm
