Lubell 8/1: 279a-b

Two black and white woodblock prints of [the village of Delphi in Greece], showing houses set on a hillside, a winding road and hills in the distance. The drawings Lubell 277a-b appear to be preliminary sketches of the scene, but with a narrower view. Lubell 377 is another version of these drawings, but finished with watercolor. On the verso, lower left, of print 279a is a notation “K0Z0” or “KO2O.” On the verso, upper right, of print 279b is a notation “SEK” or “5EK.” The possible title was listed in the original information given by the family.
