Lubell 7/8: 200a-b

Woodcut print with painted highlights of flowers and cloth. Midsection of seated woman holding needle, thread and mending and surrounded by a broom, a plant, a washboard and a pot-bellied stove with cooking pots. 200a is gray and black with color added, with a white cloth held by the woman, while 200b is black and white with color added. In both prints, the flowers have been painted pink, and in Lubell 200b, the cloth held by the woman is painted blue. Lubell 200a is signed Winifred Lubell and 200b is signed Winifred Milius Lubell, with additional note “1953. Reprint edition 1998 (4)-2.” Woodblock is titled Woman’s Tools (Lubell 505, Box 41).
