Lubell 7/4: 186
Lithograph. Print of two feet, their legs mostly off-screen, and two shoes, which are lying on grass near a shoe shine box. The clothes are notably ragged; the socks have large holes, the shoes scuffed and marked, and a cloth at the top-right edge carries some dirt. The scene represents the massive social and economic upheaval of the Great Depression. Notation “remaining edition ½.” Signed both W. Milius and Winifred Milius Lubell.
