Lubell 7/4: 184a-b
Two 1934 copies of a black and white lithograph prints. They depict three men in shadow, sitting and consuming an unseen soup in bowls. The extreme contrast in light and shadow makes the work appear akin to Chiaroscuro. Signed W. Milius. Lubell 184a has a penciled Roman numeral II in the lower right corner. 184b is mounted on a thin mat. These were originally in a folder labelled “very first lithograph 1933 – Soup Kitchen.”
