Lubell 6/16: 113
Wood engraving of small black and white images of three animals – deer, spotted lion and rabbit – bordered by circle and ordered inside a large, non-figural pattern. The organization makes it look like a triptych, with the smaller images inside the images holding the most importance. Signed W. Lubell. Other copies of this print are identified as Lubell 285. This image is one of three that forms a part of a larger print: see Lubell 291, Fragments from Athena’s Robe. See woodblock, [Coptic Fragment] (Lubell 420, Box 20).
