Color woodcut print. Grouping of various statues and fetish dolls of archaic female deities, organized in a general way that shows no clear order. Just as the color is different for each one, the styles lead to a number of totally different shapes and designs. Signed Winifred Lubell. The two prints have slightly different composition and coloring of the figures. Print 107a has a blue border and is printed on brown rice paper. Print 107b has a yellow chalk border, added gouache and is printed on black paper. See also Lubell 84, which is a similar subject, and the woodblock Pantheon 1 (Lubell 471, Box 32).
