Refers to ability of North River Company to stop Verplanks Bill in lower house. Suggest best method is to let it come forward to kill it in the house rather than to smother it before it comes up as it might deter them from further attack. Draft for $2500. received end accepted. Comment on approval of improvements made and fact that the effect has stopped the cavilling about monopolies as they have been shown that although possessed of exclusive rights, the comfort and accommodation of the traveller has been considered.
