Scope and Contents
Bills enclosed to be distributed, indicate revised schedule of boats. Further warning relative to proceedings of enemies in the House, a need for close contact and observation in Albany, criticism of Company's supineness, warning not to rely too much on the Senate &c. Mention of Capt. Bunker and fact that Deverell motion evinces their success. The falsehood circulated by enemies to effect that the North River Company has withdrawn the suit in Washington must be done away. The object for the meeting mentioned in letter of 26th was to appoint a successor to Mr. Pinkney and to have the suit tried at all events next fall.
