The "Salute to the Citizen Solider" event not only paid tribute to Congress's WWII veterans, but it also celebrated the museum's new congressional designation as "America's National World War II Museum." Numerous members of Congress are identified in the photograph, in addition to CEOs and hosts of the event. They include: Senators Ted Stevens, John Warner, Daniel Inouye, and Frank Lautenberg; Representatives Ralph Hall, John Dingell, Cass Ballenger, Henry Hyde, Amory Houghton, Ralph Regula, Tom Lantos; Chairmen and/or CEOs Ronald Sugar, Donald T. "Boysie" Bollinger, Kenneth Dahlberg, Wayne Leonard, and Gordon H. "Nick" Mueller; and hosts, Cokie Roberts and Tom Hanks.
