Scope and Contents
Summary: The photographs consist of negatives, prints and slides that were primarily received or created by Lautenberg's office as part of his Senatorial and political activities. These photographs were taken at a variety of functions, some of which include outreach events, campaign functions, and formal photograph sessions. Included are candid shots, formal photographs, reproductions, and autographed photographs sent to Lautenberg. The photographs were taken by different people, including staffers and professional photographers. If a professional photographer is credited, that information is noted on the back of the print itself and on the item folder, wherever possible. The photographs also include materials from before Lautenberg took office.

Appraisal and Discard Information: Negatives without clear positives, illegible or hard to interpret prints, and blurry photographs or photographs with no clear subject focus were discarded.
