Scope and Contents
Ross 193
Woodblock of plywood with carved burlap-backed [linoleum?] attached with [glue] and nails on both sides. One side, green and black, has the carved image of a suspension bridge over a river, with a city in the background. Boats are on the river, and oak leaves are in the lower right corner. This appears to be the block for the print titled George Washington Bridge printed in 1958 (a photocopy of the print image from the Old Print Shop website 11/17/2015 is enclosed with the woodblock). The other side, black, shows a house with a man, woman and boy coming down the long front steps. Both sides have a hole drilled in the upper right corner.
