Ross 4/5 - 129a-c

Collagraph triptych in black and white. Three imaginary cityscapes combining elements of cities, monuments and cultures from around the world. The leftmost print, Ross 129a, I 18/25, neither titled nor dated, has monuments and buildings with a more religious or ancient culture association, such as the Parthenon, the Tower of Babel, the Roman Coliseum, the cathedral in Venice, and the Suleiman Mosque in Istanbul. The center print, Ross 129b, titled, but unsigned, includes skyscrapers and notable buildings from New York, San Francisco and other cities, along with a futuristic towers and roads and a blimp flying between them. The rightmost print, Ross 129c, signed John Ross, but not titled, includes buildings from the United States, Europe and Asia, such as the AT&T building, the Eifel Tower, buildings in the Beijing Forbidden City and the Taj Mahal. Heavy cream-colored paper. A key to the buildings, reprinted from the Old Print Shop website, is included in the folder.
