Ross D9 - 93a-c
Three collagraphs in pinks/purples and oranges. Somewhat stylized street view with three arches, names of businesses and color blocks. The Artist’s Proof, Ross 93a, titled Alcudia identifying the location as the town of Alcudia, Majorca, Spain contains elements of pink and orange, but draws more from browns and darker gray, with the “Stamp” block in yellow overprinted with brown. The Artist’s Proof, Ross 93b, titled Uncle John’s Band has bright colors, with pink, orange, light gray and a yellow block on the lower right with the word “Stamp.” Ross 93c, 6/50, has more muted colors, with the pinks tending toward purples and with the “Stamp” block overprinted with rusty red. Cream-colored paper. Signed John Ross. These prints are oversized and housed in a Map Case Drawer, Folder 9.
