Correspondence, (1954-2000 and undated)

Primarily correspondence with other calligraphers. Some envelopes have no contents. Includes a letter from Donald Johnson and a letter and [postcard?] from Paul Standard. [2] page autograph letter signed from Paul Standard to Frances Manola, November 14, 1954, acknowledging gift of Fran’s book (poetic selections). Reconnecting after five years, Standard gives her a schedule of his classes available in NYC. He then becomes Fran’s most important influence. There is also a letter to “Carolyn” dated 1988 discussing her activities and her research on the different versions of the Illuminated Ornaments by Henry Shaw.
