Illuminated manuscript leaf, parchment, [1490-1510?]

Versicle from Psalms, 74:11, followed by 96:1-10, possibly from the common of saints for apostles, from the third nocturne at matins. Latin text starts “et omnia cornua peccato rum.” 18 long lines, ruled at both the top and the bottom of each line of script. One 3-line historiated initial of the Virgin and Child (added later?). 20 x 14 3/8 inches, text 14 ½ x 10 ½ inches. Folder holds photocopies of three historical manuscripts. Original is cataloged in the library’s manuscript collection and in the Digital Scriptorium. The original is stored with other medieval manuscript fragments at MC 1423:03.
