Frances Manola Collection of Calligraphic Art - Historical Manuscripts

Summary:Frances also collected examples of early illuminated manuscripts. Her collection included illuminated leaves from 15th to 16th century religious texts, a leaf from a 19th century Qur’an (with Persian translation), and an indenture agreement from 1825. This series is listed by box number, then alphabetically by descriptive folder title. The 15th/16th century manuscripts have been cataloged in the library manuscript collection, as well as in the Digital Scriptorium, with descriptions below and photocopies in manuscript box folders with this collection (Box 8). The Qur’an and indenture document are housed in an oversized flat box (Box 1), with this collection.
