Scope and Contents

Text is from Proverbs 9:1-2. Latin text starts “Parasti in dulcedine tua.” The service is for the feast of Corpus Christi from the final versicle (Parasti in dulcedine tua) of matins through the antiphon for lauds (Sapientia edificavit). Square black notation on 4-line red staves, 6 lines of text and music per page. Ink on vellum with illuminated “S” in gouache and gold leaf. 14 ½ x 10 inches, text 9 ½ x 6 ¾ inches. Folder holds photocopies of three historical manuscripts. Original is cataloged in the library’s manuscript collection and in the Digital Scriptorium. The original is stored with other medieval manuscript fragments at MC 1423:02.
