This collection represents a sample of Bob Inman's scrapbooks, which were featured in the book Swing Era Scrapbook: The Teenage Diaries and Radio Logs of Bob Inman, 1936-1938, published by the Institute of Jazz Studies and Scarecrow Press in 2006. The Count Basie family papers and artifacts comprise the extant papers and personal belongings of the Basie family, including Catherine, Diane, and Count Basie. The collection contains personal papers, music, photographic prints and negatives, business records, artwork, and audio and moving image recordings, as well as artifacts.
