Ora Lerman was an accomplished artist, writer, and teacher during the emergence of the women's art movement in the early 1970s, and her career became part of that movement. The papers span the period from 1955 to 1998, with the bulk dating between 1971 and 1998. The papers reflect the life and work of the artist and professor, during her adult life in New York City.
